To the Editor,
Regarding the Mike Duffy affair, why is no one asking the key question?
Was the payment asked for, or was it offered? In other words, was it Duffy’s idea or Nigel Wright’s?
Until we know the answer to that question, we cannot begin to fairly judge the Prime Minister’s Office and the Senate.
While some may want to give Stephen Harper the benefit of the doubt about not knowing of the deal before it happened, it strains credulity that he has not demanded detailed answers once the story broke.
So when can we expect Harper, our champion of honest and open government, to come clean and provide Canadians with the answer to this important question?
