Partisan politics in play in youth movement

Justin Trudeau is middle aged and the criticism he is getting is that by now he should have some knowledge of his profession.

To the Editor,

Re: Youth in Politics, the next generation of political leaders, Dec. 17.

This started as a good article and a legitimate issue. I met George Anderson early in his career. He turned up at a Conservative party gathering and this signalled a foresight that impressed me.

Unfortunately the opinion of an assistant professor of political science was introduced and instead of keeping the focus on the subject, she made the blatantly politically motivated statement, “You see this with Justin Trudeau.”

Trudeau, far from being anywhere near the age of Anderson, is middle aged and the criticism he is getting is that by now he should have some knowledge of his profession.
