Re: Efficient operations can withstand core review, Letters, Dec. 27.
Gary Korpan’s letter did an excellent job of presenting an unbiased review of the hoped-for core review.
There are no reasons given for the defeat of the motion – was it the cost? I don’t think so.
There was no problem coming up with $11 million for a new annex, or $3.5 million for a piece of property on the waterfront that may need millions of taxpayers’ dollars to clean up.
What then is the objection to a core review? Are they coming from senior staff?
Taxpayers deserve an answer.
