Re: Group pitches multiplex plan for downtown, June 16.
Does Mayor Bill McKay really think that the only help the developer may need is for the city to move a few sewer lines?
What are traffic egress and exit plans at Mill Street, Prideaux Street, Comox Road, etc.? Where will the thousands of cars park during events? How will the ecology of the Millstone River and the trailway access to Maffeo Sutton Park be preserved?
I look forward to the redevelopment of the property, but it is not suitable for a 5,000-seat multiplex. Place the much-needed arena on the outskirts, near the parkway.
