Re: Voter turnout dismal again, Opinion, May 25.
This was my second time involved with the provincial election and I agree about the dismal response of people who did not vote.
We live in a great province in a great country, and it’s a shame people don’t use their given rights to vote.
As for the statement “no wonder why so many British Columbians feel like they don’t have a voice,” it could be that some people don’t make the effort and don’t care. It’s only when it affects them personally that they care.
In some countries, like Australia, federal and provincial voting is compulsory. I wonder what non-voters here would say if slapped with a fine?
