Letter writers should avoid personal attacks

Re: Writer’s point indecipherable, Letters, July 5.

To the Editor,

Re: Writer’s point indecipherable, Letters, July 5.

Jim Corder has so many letters printed over the course of a year, most of which seem to follow the course of insulting anyone who has written a letter he deems to be “leftist” or “socialist” leaning.

Indeed, he might as well be a columnist, but then, we already have Tom Fletcher to represent the conservative, right wing side of B.C. life.

So why do you give Corder so much free press? If you have to print all his letters, at least eliminate his personal attacks and hold him to civilized discourse. The same can be said for any letter writer, of whatever political stripe.
