To the editor,
Soon the semi-annual time change will happen which most of us do not want. It’s time we put this issue to rest for good.
Research shows permanent standard time is the best option. Canadian Sir Sanford Fleming is considered to be the father of standard time and daylight saving time was advocated by American Benjamin Franklin. Ever since we began changing our clocks we have followed the U.S. practice.
Please contact your provincial elected officials and premier; ask them to legislate permanent standard time. Let’s keep it Canadian.
