To the editor,
Re: City spending on designing public works yard upgrades, Feb. 26.
What the heck! Why did city council pass a motion, never mind even think about approving spending $1.8 million of our tax money to begin design and costing to overhaul the public works yard when three times now the alternate approval process has been either pulled or defeated, and rightfully so by the electorate.
This is nefarious. By council proceeding when taxpayers voted no to a works yard redo, any city official giving it the thumbs-up should be removed from office. We do not want the city to go through with a $90-million or more luxury facility. God sakes, we’re in a trade war and recession.
