To the editor,

The City of Nanaimo needs to learn from Greater Victoria and Ontario – we do not want vehicle traffic lanes taken away or narrowed.

After a lot of public pressure, Saanich is now re-thinking its regressive plans to size-down the busy McKenzie Avenue corridor. And the Ontario government is ordering cities such as Toronto to put back vehicle lanes.

We live in modern times. Vehicles get us to a job, to the hospital, to pack up heavy groceries and pick up our kids during inclement weather.

As we’re seeing around the world, the majority has had enough of the constant complainers who protest everything. We are now the ones pushing back.

Matt Snelgrove, Nanaimo
