LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Recycling information missing

Closure of Nanaimo Recycling Exchange being felt, says letter writer

To the editor,

Re: Too many hazards found in recycling bins, Opinion, Aug. 8.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were a facility in Nanaimo for recycling where a knowledgeable, experienced staff could check recyclables at the source, sort them from the garbage and at the same time educate the public as to what is recyclable and what would go into household waste?

Wait a minute! There was one. The Nanaimo Recycling Exchange.

Rod Hancock, Nanaimo
