To the editor,
What is this push in the advertising in your newspaper for guns? There is only one purpose for a gun: to kill.
I am not naive, a bleeding heart or a starry-eyed person. I grew up in a log cabin in the Cariboo. My father was a registered, responsible big-game guide. We ate wild meat. I was very familiar with guns and surrounded by them. I was taught one thing, that guns are for killing.
Pellet guns and the like maim and hurt when they hit. I know. Bows and arrows? Unnecessary.
Stop advertising such dangerous items.
