To the editor,

Re: Canada needs to keep maing guns harder to get, Editorial, June 1.

With another horrific school shooting in Texas, I wonder why school trustees in B. C. don’t simply implement a policy of locked doors in all schools. The costs would be minor – a camera at the front door, an electronic system of communicating, so the secretary could decide whether or not to allow entrance to the school. This would allow maximum security to students, teachers and non-teaching staff. I believe parents would be very supportive of a locked-door policy. For once, let’s be proactive.
