To the editor,

Recently I just had my vaccine for the COVID-19 virus. I feel so relieved now and looking forward to receiving my second vaccine dose. I encourage all of you to receive yours so we can all feel safer, more comfortable and know that this pandemic is coming to a close.

I read in the paper that Dr. Bonnie Henry said that “immunization is going to get us there.” I always burst into tears of joy knowing that what I just read is so true and am starting to feel relieved that this ordeal is almost behind us. What a rough road it has been.

Please make it a priority on your ‘to-do’ list to receive your vaccine. Think of it as giving your body a gift that it will greatly appreciate.

Linda Smith, Nanaimo
