To the editor,

Re: Locations of COVID-19 cases aren’t public for privacy reasons, March 25.

I am left in wonder with some people, including doctors and the media, asking for precise locations of COVID-19-affected persons. Have these folks never heard of universal precautions? In order to get maximum buy-in from everyone in our province, we need everyone to treat everyone else as a carrier of the virus, end of story.

And shame on the media for focusing on projected body counts. Trying to sensationalize a truly heart-breaking event is a despicable act. The people that have lost the battle against COVID-19 are not statistics but flesh-and-blood folks who are/were loved by someone.
