Leadership training shouldn’t cost taxpayers

Having to in-service leaders should be done at their expense, not taxpayer dollars.

To the Editor,

Re: City pays portion of facilitator costs, Feb. 18.

So Nanaimo mayor and council spent close to $50,000 for a facilitator to teach them about relationships and how to get along with each another. We elect reps of the community to do a job and we now have to spend thousands because they cannot get along.

Having to in-service leaders should be done at their expense, not taxpayer dollars.
