Hydro customers bamboozled

Smart meters are designed to charge triple the tariff for all power consumed at certain hours of the day.

To the Editor,

W.A.C. Bennett promised the cheapest electricity in the world to attract business to B.C.

Sadly politicians love money and Victoria lusted over the stash in the B.C. Hydro vaults.

Now Hydro started to run short of money, so Victoria suggested screwing the Hydro customers with excessively complicated bills, and bamboozle the customers again with tales of hydro theft  and smart meters eliminating this, but never a word about what smart meters are designed to do – charge triple the tariff for all power consumed at certain hours of the day.

That will start in 2014 with the excuse that Hydro needs money to expand its facilities.
