To the Editor,
In this day and age, in all centres with parking facilities, it is the employees who must park on the perimeter of the lot, not the paying public. Why then are the physicians at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital given priority marked parking spaces nearest the entrances – ambulatory clinic and emergency?
Being a client attending the ambulatory clinic, it is a mystery that the least able must park at such a distance. By the time we find a space, get a ticket, back to the car and then back to the entrance, gasping for air and leg cramps are our rewards.
The hospital should re-think its parking design and think of the patients.
