Re: No decision from council on incinerator, Dec. 5.
The proponents for the the proposed Duke Point garbage burner claim pollution controls will make the giant facility almost 100 per cent green.
It will be interesting to see, if the project were to go ahead, how the smell from the hundreds of barges of Lower Mainland waste anchored near Duke Point will be controlled.
Just look at a Google map of Duke Point and see it is a mere kilometre from our downtown tourist areas. Forget about enjoying a beverage on our waterfront, when that southeaster blows the smell and gulls into our personal spaces.
Just say no to the project.
