Re: Island Ferries picked for foot passenger route, Jan. 10.
I cannot believe that the city has decided on Island Ferries but has not got to a point where this company can proceed. Last summer we were told that they were taking submissions from firms that could supply the service but would do an extensive investigation of their finances etc. and would likely have a decision by October as to the company they had chosen. The article seems to suggest that we are not much further into the process that at the start.
Once more we see the frustration of companies trying to do business with this city delays and more delays until futility drives them away. I believe the citizens of this city have a right to better informed.
