To the Editor,
With regards to the flag persons on our highways and streets, they perform a most dangerous but needed service in our towns and cities all over B.C.
Most of these flag persons, after paying for their own course, make barely above minimum wage.
They are responsible for their own summer, winter and rain clothes including boots, with only a small rebate. They are supplied a vest but pay for their signs. Flag persons work all hours in all types of weather with no medical or dental supplied.
So please drive with care and consideration for our flag people.
