If Jeremy Baker would look at his arithmetic from the other side, he would get a very different picture.
The $5.7-million revenue on the M.V. Quinsam, shared equally by the 5,000 residents of Gabriola Island (in the same misleading way that Baker apportions subsidies) amounts to $114,000 per person per year.
Who else in B.C. – who else in the world – is forced to pay so much to get to and from their homes?
