To the Editor,
Re: Bomb scare shuts down ferry sailings, forces evacuation, June 5.
Thank you to all the people who helped the ferry passengers through the situation on Saturday.
You all did a fantastic job from start to finish. We were guided, helped, driven and assured by a group of dedicated professionals.
My most particular thanks go to the volunteers of the Emergency Response Team.
I never knew there was such an organization with so many people ready to serve at moment’s notice.
Without their help, the experience would have been much different.
My only suggestion would be to get a megaphone for the emergency workers so they don’t have to blow out their voices yelling the updates so everyone would hear.
Great job, well done.
One of the 500.
