Re: ‘Wet’ housing carries potential safety risk, Letters, Feb. 1.
Obviously this person has a narrow and ignorant view of the homeless in our community. Might I suggest he try a little experiential learning and maybe go down to the 7-10 Club for a few mornings and meet those that are maligned and painted with a brush of bigotry.
It only takes a moment for a person’s life to change and then they themselves are homeless.
It is time to educate and inform all citizens of our community about homelessness and the true picture of poverty in our fair city.
Seniors, students, families can be one of the homeless, or at risk of being homeless.
If you are truly of the mind that thinks their investment is at risk, sell and move to a gated, segregated community.
