Dropping bombs won't bring about peace

NANAIMO – Why is Canada going to war without debate or approval by Parliament?

To the Editor,

On the eve of a G20 summit in Australia, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Canada does not support war on any Middle East nation, only war against ISIS.

What I’d like to know is why Canada is going to war against anyone without Parliament’s debate and approval. Or did I miss something – maybe it was contained in one of those ‘omnibus bills.’

Meanwhile, we’re dropping bombs on people to bring about peace? How dumb is that?
