Don’t blame feds for buyout

NANAIMO – Re: Country’s resources for sale, Letters, Dec. 15.

To the Editor,

Re: Country’s resources for sale, Letters, Dec. 15.

If Alf Holbrook is upset at the Stephen Harper government for letting foreign companies buy Canadian companies, why does he not buy them?

It is the shareholders that sell out, and the biggest shareholders – CPP and mutal fund companies – have sold out to increase the bottom line.

Does Holbrook have mutual funds? If he works, CPP is most likely involved.

Has he ever attended a stockholder’s meeting when a buyout is being attempted?
