Dogs at sanctuary rarely in control

Re: Sanctuary leash rules disappointing, March 12.

To the Editor,

Re: Sanctuary leash rules disappointing, March 12.

Donna Holt claims she has control of her dog while she walked it in the nature sanctuary, presumably without a leash. She would be the only one I’ve heard of.

Dog owners seem to actually believe this, including the ones using the reel-type leashes. What dreamers.

It seems when I’ve been at parks, they just smile and say, ‘It’s friendly,’ despite the fact I ask them to keep the strange dog away from me.

But I’m over it by not using any parks where dogs frequent. Too bad for me, or is it?

I’ve found a nice sandy beach that nobody knows about. Sand, smooth rocks and edible clams.

Guess what? No dogs, either.
