Re: Trio of factors behind closures, Aug. 28.
It would be helpful to mention that there has, in fact, been a great restaurant open downtown called Drfitwood Bistro.
Instead of dwelling on the negative aspects of our downtown core, which may inhibit people from venturing downtown for dinner, you should be promoting the positive aspects.
Not only is there definitely not a culinary void downtown, as reporter Toby Gorman irresponsibly mentioned, but there are some amazing restaurants in the area.
Restaurants such as the mentioned Driftwood Bistro as well as Aladdin’s, the Thirsty Camel, the Firehouse Grill, Sukkho Thai, the Nest Bistro, La Famaglia and Asteras.
