Culture dollars aren’t flowing

To make culture accessible to the population you might try lowering the ticket prices with your grants.

To the Editor,

Re: Study charts arts economic impact, Nov. 12.

It is good news to hear the Nanaimo cultural scene is generating $150 million annually. (I’d love to see the breakdown.)

I am certain many of us in the arts community would love to get on the list of those about to receive grants.

To make culture accessible to the population you might try lowering the ticket prices with your grants. I stand in awe reading of the cultural prosperity.

It must be for the contractors who refurbish buildings and not for the artists who would perform within.
