Council should take consultation cue from B.C. Housing

To the Editor,

Re: Adjustments to housing surprise city, March 29.

May I suggest that if the mayor and council are really concerned about homeless youth, they engage in consultation with their constituents, thus involving them in the process?

They should take a cue from B.C. Housing officials who did consult the residents in the area of the proposed facility and made adjustments. They can also demonstrate their commitment to this problem by volunteering to locate homeless youth shelters in their own neighbourhoods.
