To the Editor,
Christmas is the time for giving gifts, so city councillors gave property owners a tax increase, but are giving themselves a 24-per cent pay raise.
We have just elected council for another three-year term to take control of the city’s finances, but there is a call for an auditor. Not only that, but they are looking for outside help on setting priorities.
I am sure that our elected officials can take on these tasks without outside help.
