Corridor redesign shouldn’t be a priority

I see little in this hullaballoo scheme to redesign Terminal-Nicol streets.

To the Editor,

Re: Plans to redesign Terminal-Nicol corridor revealed, Oct. 27.

I see little in this hullaballoo scheme to redesign Terminal-Nicol streets. Your story mentions there will be crosswalks, improvements to intersections, time-of-day parking and the only good new thing – a treed median.

The business people pushing this say they want it to be an action item. I assume of the city. Word-speak for saying they want taxpayers to foot the bill.

There are many more important things to spend our money on and first is to make sure every citizen has the money to live comfortably with food, housing and a little extra money in their pocket. Until then, pass by this new trench for money.
