Re: City councils obsessed with projects, Letters, May 23.
Why is that whenever city council makes a decision that is not what some people want, they deride the council and go back in history to claim other wrongs?
Maffeo Sutton Park is a well-used one that replaced a decrepit Civic Arena and shipyards that had fallen into disuse.
A city’s uniqueness is not just in keeping everything that has ever been, but in adapting to the needs of the present and future.
Colliery Dam Park will be reborn in a new, safer way.
