Nicholson, Zena Audrey
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 9, 1920 passed away peacefully on January 7, 2005. Audrey graduated from St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg in 1943. After raising her family in Nanaimo, she enrolled in Malaspina College in a Fine arts course and was an active potter and print maker. She was a volunteer for the Arts Council and a member of the Pottery Co-op at Beban Park. Also an active member in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church for nearly 50 years. Audrey is predeceased by her husband Clyde and daughter Patricia, sisters Noreen and Barbara. Survived by 1 daughter Cindy (Joy) and son Chris (Shirley) and grandsons David, Kyle and Michael, 1 sister Marylou, brother James (Bud) and Judilynn and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15 at 1pm at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 4235 Departure Bay Road. Reverend Don Lindsay officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Audrey’s memory to the Canadian Institute for the Blind.
