Winnifred Elizabeth Shinnan
November 27, 1927 ~ February 14, 2011
Mom passed away peacefully after a short stay in NRGH Palliative Care at the age of 83. She was born in Regina and moved to Nanaimo in 1951.
Predeceased by her husband, David and grandson, Scott. She is survived by her children: Betty Anne (Dave), Robert (Angie), Leslie (Burnie) and Lyle; grandchildren: Tammy (Mike), Andrew, Ashley and four great-grandchildren: Jacob, Breanna, Austin and Sarah.
Mom enjoyed curling, bowling and was a member of the 256 Ladies Legion Auxiliary.
A celebration of life for Elizabeth (Betty) will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 4235 Departure Bay Road on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
