Devoted husband & loving father, Wing Pui, passed away peacefully in Nanaimo. Born in Canton, China to Jung, Gwui Seuk and Chan, Suen Choy, he is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sau Lan and daughters: Lily (Alberto), Julie (Jason), Sally (Eric) and Holly (Adam). Grandchildren: Ashley, Cameron, Sarah, Aiden & Ming.

Wing immigrated to Canada in 1969 where he worked a number of years at the Honeymoon Bay Sawmill (Cowichan) and at the Dragon Inn (Duncan), before settling in Cedar where he cooked at the Cranberry Cafe (Cedar) & the Terminal Cafe (Nanaimo). He expressed his love through food and his extraordinary cooking skills. Wing enjoyed spending time with his family, supporting the Chinese Freemasons Society in Western Canada, walking the waterfront and playing table tennis.

A special thank you to the Cardiac Internal Medicine Ward & the Palliative Care Team at Nanaimo General Hospital for their care, kindness and compassion in his last two weeks with us.

Dad will be laid to rest alongside his mother at the Townsite Chinese Cemetery (1598 Townsite Road, Nanaimo). There will be no service at Dad's request.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Nanaimo General Hospital's Palliative Care Unit.
