Jan 24, 1925 - Nov 25, 2017
William Robert (Bob) Harper, born in Victoria January 24 1925 passed away peacefully in Nanaimo Saturday November 25, 2017 at the age of 92.

Predeceased by his loving wife Marilyn (18 Sept 1997) he will be lovingly remembered by his son Donald, his daughter Barbara (Brian) and his step-daughter Paula; his grandchildren Joseph, Andrew, Laura, James, Joel, Lydia and his many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

Bob was also predeceased by his siblings Verena, Jack (Marg), Barbara (Earl) and Rosalind (Emile).  Bob was an Air Force veteran in WW11 and later retired after many years working as a realtor in Powell River, White Rock and Ladysmith.

He enjoyed strumming his guitar, wood carving, painting, winning medals playing against seniors at billiards and always striving to improve his Spanish speaking for use when traveling to warmer climates such as Mexico and Costa Rica.

His daily walks were enjoyed along Nanaimo's harbour front where he would stop for coffee and a chat with his many friends.  Bob did not wish any kind of service.  Alzheimer Society of BC became the charity of his choice as he struggled with it during the last few years.

Despite his fading memories, to the end Bob always had a twinkle in his eye, a snappy, witty or joking comment to make and if you ever asked him, "How are you doing Bob?"  he would always answer, "Anybody I can!!!"

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
