November 30, 1948 - October 5, 2021
It is with much sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bill.
Bill had a big heart and even bigger laugh. You always knew Bill was near by when you heard that laugh. Bill was a charismatic, kind and generous man who loved to organize and socialize.
Bill is predeceased by his father, William his mother Katie and his sister Joey. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife Angela, two sons Mike and Blair, four siblings; Harvey, Gale (Gary), Bob and Peg, as well as a large extended family. He delighted in all the younger people in his life. Each of you held your own special place in his heart and he was so proud of you all.
Bill was born at home in New Liskeard, Ontario, grew up in Iroquois Falls, Ontario before moving to Nanaimo in 1965. Bill was an electrician and although he has been retired for 13 years, he stilled enjoyed coffee with the guys reminiscing and problem solving. Bill was also an avid athlete; he enjoyed hockey, golf, softball, hardball, skiing, curling, camping and dancing. Sadly a back injury made these activities harder and harder to do.
Many of you know Bill as a cowboy born 100 years too late. He had a love for country music, rodeos and especially horses. We love you Bill, long may you ride...
Bill's family would like to thank the many friends and family for all their love and support. Plans to celebrate Bill's life are delayed until it is safe to gather.
Flowers are gratefully declined, instead donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation BC.
