January 11, 1944 - November 12, 2021
Born and raised in Nanaimo, Jim earned his pilot's license at 16 years old with air cadets. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Dept as a young man from 1962-64. He also worked for CPR as a dock worker from 1962-71, earning his truck driving license.
From 1971-2000, he drove for Doman Transport until a heart attack forced him into early retirement.
In 1964, he married Marion and started a family. He shared his love of reading, learning and knowledge with anyone who cared to listen. His support and love for all those around him was so comforting. His deep, genuine laugh - unforgettable. He was loved by all who had the pleasure to know him and will be dearly missed.

Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marion (nee: Cook); daughters, Edna and Dianna (Lindsay); grandchildren, Janella (Ryan), James, Kaitlyn, Cheyenne and great granddaughter, Emersyn.
