July 25, 1930 – August 11, 2016
With sadness we announce Bill’s passing on August 11, 2016 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Joan Anne Allen, in December of 2015.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Elaine; children, Russell (Marlene), Robert, Paul, and son-in-law, Keith Allen; grandchildren, Lisa, Janice, Tessa, and Duncan.
Always the avid outdoorsman, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing since his childhood. He also loved camping with his family. Bill was a well-known and respected member of the commercial fishing community.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at NRGH for their compassionate care of Bill during his last days.
A Graveside Service and Burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens took place on Wednesday. August 17, 2016.
