Walter Gillespie passed away peacefully March 20th, 2018.
Predeceased by his loving wife Helen Gillespie of 55years. He leaves behind his 2nd wife Doris; his 4 children Daryl (Jeanne), Cheryl (Ed Neave), Jim (Tina) and Lisa.
He was a loving grandfather to his 8 grandkids Davina, Alan, Mike, Dana, Darla, Ryan, Emma and Brooke along with great-grandchildren.
He was born in Breton, Alberta in 1928. Moving to B.C to be with his family as a young man. He worked as a truck driver for many years before retiring. In his later years he enjoyed simple pleasures, playing cards on a Sunday night or meeting his brothers for coffee once a week. He was a dedicated Christian and member of the Nanaimo First Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 6th at the Nanaimo First Baptist Church, 1650 Waddington Road at 1:00 p.m.
