Violet Ellen White

Vi was born in Nanaimo to parents Norm and Gen White.

Her father's career took the family to the Comox Valley in 1959 and then in 1969 to the Lower Mainland (Burnaby).

It was there that she met her partner Steve Corscadden through co-workers. Their relationship lasted over 40 years.

During their years on the Lower Mainland Vi and Steve took many RV trips to the great Parks of North America - such as Banff, Jasper, Denali, and Yellowstone. Also during those years they travelled widely to enter competitive shooting events in Canada and the USA.

In 1993 they took the opportunity to move to Nanaimo where they embraced the Mid Island lifestyle, including Salmon fishing - thanks Dad.

Vi continued her 40 plus year career as a bookkeeper and Legal Assistant and was a life member of the Nanaimo Fish and Game Club serving for many years as the club's bookkeeper.

Vi was pre deceased by her mother Gen in 2011, and is survived by her partner Steve, her father Norm (Parksville), her brother Doug (Abbotsford), and her uncle George (Nanaimo) and countless friends and extended family.

Special thanks to her family Physician Doctor Torrie, Doctor Kulla and all the nurses and staff of the Nanaimo Regional Hospital Cancer Clinic, and Dr. King of the Nanaimo Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. All were extremely kind and helpful during a difficult time.

The biggest thanks of all go to Steve, for all those good years and even more for the TLC during of the last couple of years of our struggles.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Should you wish please feel free to donate to any Cancer research organization of your choice.
