Vi passed away peacefully at Dufferin Place in Nanaimo at the age of 92 on November 2, 2017.
Vi was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2012, her mother Mary in 1974, her father Clarence and brother Oswald both in 1970.
Vi was born in Vancouver and spent her early years there. Vi married Jack in 1946 and settled in Nanaimo to raise their family. Vi spent many years dedicating her time volunteering with local organizations including The Scouts, The Lions Club, The Salvation Army, Dufferin Place, and the Roya Canadian Legion Mt Benson branch 256 where Vi was a lifetime member of their Ladies Auxiliary.
Vi and Jack enjoyed travelling and visited many places including Asia and Europe and took many North American road trips together.
Vi leaves behind her 3 children Benny (Leanna) Campbell of Kelowna, Gail McDonald of Nanaimo and Colleen Newmann of Winnipeg, MB; 6 grandchildren Benny Jr., Kandi, Dail, Kelly, Grant and Scott; 11 great grandchildren; and her sister Joy Alexander of Maple Ridge.
