Viola Patricia Alice Muskett

September 15, 1924 - June 1, 2016

Youngest daughter of John Horace and Irene Gladys Cremer. Sister to Thora Cremer. Viola grew up in Edmonton, Alberta and moved as a young woman to BC with her family. She met and married Jim Muskett, the love of her life, in Vancouver in 1963. They lived in the West End near English Bay until Jim retired from Canco, and Viola retired after many years of service at Revenue Canada. They built their dream home on the water in Cedar By The Sea in 1973 where they enjoyed a loving and lively life. Jim passed away in May of 1989. Viola continued to live there “with his presence” until recently. She passed away at Dover House, where she was lovingly cared for. She will be remembered for her engaging and vibrant personality, her love of gardening and bowling and many other interests. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Viola requested no funeral, but a tea will be held in her honor later. The family wishes to thank Margaret Haggith, her dear friend, for her thoughtfulness and service to Viola and her family over this difficult time. Viola is survived by Jim’s daughters Jane (Leslie) DeBrock and Ann Avery, grandsons Mark (Dawn) Avery and John DeBrock and great grandchildren James, Tristan and Sarah Avery.

Donations in memory of Viola can be made to a charity of your choice.
