In loving memory of Vera Willey.
In the early hours of Saturday, August the 5th, 2006 Vera took her last breath while angels waited. Vera’s last moments here with us were not alone. She was surrounded by her loving family at the palliative care centre at NRGH. Vera was born in Manchester England on October 31st, 1922 and came to Canada in 1967. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Lewis (2004). Vera is survived by her sons Robert (Isabel), Stephen (Carol) and daughter Pauline (Edward), her grandchildren Rachael, Janice (Steve), Debra (Jeanine) Stephen (Adele) and her great grandchildren, Suzanne, Jacob, Fisher, Claire, Sawyer and Jeremy. She was always full of life and her smile, laughter and gentle spirit will never be forgotten. Vera’s twinkle in her eye shone in many hearts and her wisdom, forgiveness and acceptance of everyone and everything made her truly a wonderful lady. She will be terribly missed. Vera was an active member of The Seniors and was involved in many activities and clubs. She made so many close friends and unfortunately she did not get a chance to say goodbye to everyone. So please join her family in Nanaimo at The First Memorial Funeral Chapel 1720 Bowen Road, on Saturday, September 9th, 2006 at 2:00pm for a Celebration of Vera’s life.
