Troy passed away in Nanaimo BC. Troy was born in Pugwash, NS where he grew up.
He will be greatly missed by his mother Teresa Halverson, brother Cory Halverson (Tiffaney Andrews), grandmother "Nanny" Jean Halverson, neices Kay, Abby, Eve and Ula, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends.
Troy was a kind hearted and sharing person. He was very intelligent an avid reader and music enthusiast. He had a love for animals especially cats, which he had adopted many over the years, and local crows who all knew him.
Although Troy was in a fall accident in 2003 he remained a positive person and was well liked by locals and residents in his building and staff at NRGH where he received treatment from the great staff in the renal (dialysis) ward.
'Uncle Troy" to his nieces was inspirational and would always make an effort to attend all of their year end dance recitals, birthdays, Thanksgivings, and Christmases. He also made a point of buying very thoughtful gifts, you never knew when gifts would show up in the mail from Troy.
Troy often donated money to many causes and I believe he would appreciate any donations to go to the SPCA, Nanaimo branch
