Thomas Forrester Hunter
January 13, 1935 – March 4, 2016
Tom was a logger for many years. He was the son of Jean and Tom Hunter. His family “The Hunters” were one of the first families to settle in Nanaimo, arriving on the ship “Tory”.
His daughter Cindy predeceased Tom, April 2015. He leaves behind his son Chris and family, his sister Shirley Peters and family, stepchildren Stacey and Mike Ando. Also many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as Mary Nisbet his beloved companion of thirty years; granddaughter Kristen, great granddaughters Ava and Leah and great grandson Braydan.
My thanks to the Cawthorne boys; “Gordie you were there when needed”; as well as my niece Cathy and brother John. Always had a shoulder to cry on. Tom had many memories of good times at cabin 44. He specifically asked for no services so I will respect his wishes.
