Thomas Charles Roderick
Known simply as Rod, born March 11, 1921 passed away April 19, 2007 losing his battle with cancer.
Pre-deceased by his father Matt, mother Eva and wife Florrie, brothers Bill and John, sisters Rita, Ethel and Eileen.
He is survived by his younger brother Ken and younger sister Joyce, several cousins and many nephews and nieces and all their children. Rod was born in Ottawa Ont. He was raised in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. He served his country during WWII in the Navy.
Rod believed in the value of education and training. His many experiences and trades qualifications molded a reflective and thoughtful man with great talent; he was capable of turning his hand to many tasks. He was a good friend and neighbour and a much-loved family man.
Cremation has already taken place.
A Gathering in Remembrance will take place Sunday May 27, 2007 from 1-4 p.m. at the Arrowsmith Agricultural Hall in the Coombs Fair Grounds, Vancouver Island. If desired donations in Rod’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
