February 5, 1953 - June 25, 2020
With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Terry Mulholland at Cowichan District Hospital, on the morning of Thursday June 25th. We are very grateful to the hospital staff who made it possible for our family to be with Terry in his last hours.
Terry is survived by his loving wife Dianne Bowman of 26 years; daughters Leigh (Byran) Colomb of Pukatawagan, and Bonny (Peter) Hadweh of Calgary; son Chad (Laura) Bowman of Victoria; grandchildren Hannah and Colton Colomb and Will and Noah Hadweh; mother Marg Mulholland of Ladysmith; brother Mike (Dorothy) of Nanaimo; sister Kathy (Carolyn) of Maple Bay; and many dear friends.
He is predeceased by his father Ken (2012), brother Brian (1973) and aunt Moira (HO) Mulholland (2017).
Terry was born in Comox, BC on February 5th, 1953. He grew up in Ladysmith, on the beach at Saltair, went to school at St. Mary's Convent and then Chemainus High School. Terry loved being on the water. He and his brother Mike have been running the booming ground at the head of Ladysmith harbour for many years.
He also ran the tugboat for Jeff Stubbington, bringing log booms to the two mills in the Harbour. Terry loved his work and was respected and liked by all who knew him.
He and Dianne enjoyed camping in their truck and camper. They spent time at Nanaimo Lakes campground and other campgrounds on the island. They enjoyed their trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica and an Alaska Cruise. Terry was a caring and kind person, loved by friends and family. We will miss him very much.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the SPCA. A private family service will be held at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.
