MAY: Shir ley S. (nee Mathews) passed away suddenly but peacefully in Na nai mo Regional General Hospital on May 17, 2002. Shir ley was born in St. Bo ni face, Man i to ba on July 18, 1932. She leaves to grieve her pass ing, her de vot ed hus band of 47 years, Ken; her only broth er Richard (Vivi an) and fam i ly; her four child ren Kath leen(Gor don), Brian (Syl via), Ste phen (De bra-Lynn) and Da vid; six grand sons, Neil, Wes ley, Aar on, Chris to pher, Pel ham and Mark, and spe cial grand daugh ter Sachi, who she had yet to meet. Shirley de vot ed her life to her fam i ly, her church and her com mun i ty. In re cent years she de vot ed many hours to Loaves & Fish es, and to the Na nai mo Hos pice So cie ty. Je sus’ in junc tion to “Love the Lord with all your heart... and your neigh bour as your self” tru ly summed up Shir ley’s life. Your love of trav el may be over Shir ley, but the most ex cit ing jour ney is yet to come.
