1945-2020 ~ Sadly Sharyn passed away on December 13, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones. Sharyn was born in Vancouver, B.C. and became a lifelong Nanaimo resident at Age One.
She operated the family restaurant, the "Modern Cafe" until her retirement. Sharyn enjoyed the close companionship of her family, cooking, shopping in grocery stores, winning at the Casino. She will be remembered as a kind and loving person with a witty sense of humour.
Sharyn is survived by her sisters Gina Lum, Carolyn Morris (Gordon), nephews Ron Lum (Lisa), Scott Morris, niece Kelly Morris, great-nieces Olivia Spiden, Paige and Lucy Lum; great-nephews Rhys and Nolan Spiden; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and special friends Sam, Mabel Yip and Bill Belland.
Special thanks to Dr. Love and the Palliative Care workers who cheered Sharyn on in her battle with cancer, providing compassionate care, and supporting the family so kindly.
Sharyn was a gift from God and shall be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
A private family service was held.
